About Elisabeth

Elisabeth Erlandsson Kaufmann is the founder of Arboga Yin Yoga Academy and author of a book about Yin Yoga (Lilla Positionsboken, 2018). Yoga has been an important part of her life for more than thirty years. Sixteen years ago she began to transfer this knowledge as a yoga teacher. First she taught Power Yoga, later Hatha Yoga in the tradition of Swami Sivananda, and then Yin Yoga. The last nine years she has been holding yin yoga workshops and retreats all over Sweden and worldwide. Since 2017, she has also been educating new Yin Yoga teachers.

Elisabeth is an experienced Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher (E-RYT) and continuing education provider (YACEP). She is trained in Power Yoga (Petra Rydén, 2005-06), Sivananda Hatha Yoga (Yoga Vidya, 2008-09) and Yin Yoga (Magdalena Mecweld, 2013-14, Sarah Powers 2016, Bernie Clark 2018 and Paul Grilley 2019). In addition to the knowledge of these trainings, the meeting with her students and her pedagogical background (she is a senior high school teacher) as well as her many journeys and several longer meditation retreats (both Vipassana and Zen) have influenced her teaching. She loves to tell you about the importance of fascia, energy flow and mindfulness.

It is a great concern for Elisabeth to help her students to find a presence in their bodies and minds. Yoga is a fantastic tool for that.
